In the early hours of Sunday, May 15, 2011, an Orange County bicycle accident involving a hit-and-run driver occurred. This Fountain Valley crash occurred near Warner Avenue around 3 a.m.
Police received a phone call reporting that a bicyclist had been hit and killed near I-405 and Warner Avenue. The man who called the accident in reported that he saw a car hit the bicyclist.

When police arrived on the scene, they found Hung Khac Do, of Huntington Beach, on the roadway. It appeared that Do was traveling west on Warner when his bicycle was hit by a car.

He was transported to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, where he was declared dead.

Adam Garrett, 19, who called police to report the crash, was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run after police interviewed him. Garrett, of Huntington Beach, was booked into Orange County Jail and faces charges of felony hit-and-run. He posted bail and was released Monday, May 16th. He has not been formally charged with this crime or entered a plea, according to court records.

Police are still investigating this fatal OC bicycle crash. They are trying to determine if alcohol or speed played a role.
