Last Thursday, September 22, 2011 at about 8:30 AM there was a rear end car accident crash on the I-5 Freeway in Irvine. A young girl driving a Honda Fit automobile could not stop in time when person in a Honda Accord ahead of her slowed for traffic. What was unusual was that the young girl whose Honda Fit could not stop in time was injured while the person in the Honda Accord, whose car was rear ended, was apparently not injured. Usually it is the person whose vehicle was rear ended who receives a whiplash or other similar rear end impact njury. The paramedics arrived and the driver who caused the accident was taken to the Kaiser Orthopedic Hospital in Irvine while the driver of the car that was rear ended was apparently unhurt and did not need to go to the emergency room.
