Two Anaheim Motorcycle Crashes Leave One Dead & One Injured

Recently, there have been many motorcycle crashes in Orange County and throughout Southern California. In fact, two motorcycle crashes in the city of Anaheim occurred one week apart, leaving one dead and one injured.

On Wednesday, May 11, 2011, a motorcyclist was seriously injured on an Anaheim street near Disneyland. The motorcyclist was traveling on the 800 block of Disneyland Drive around 11:15 a.m. when a Toyota Highlander collided into him.

The driver of the Yamaha R1 motorcycle was near the Sheraton Anaheim hotel when paramedics arrived at the scene. He was treated for his injuries and transported to an area hospital.

This news comes just after a motorcyclist died the previous week in an Anaheim motorcycle crash.

This earlier wreck occurred on the 91 Freeway during the morning hours of Tuesday, May 3, 2011. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Andrew Allen, of Corona, was riding his motorcycle when he collided into the rear of a silver BMW around 7:45 a.m.

Officials indicated that the 31-year-old motorcyclist flipped and landed in the toll lanes of the freeway.

He was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, where he died shortly after from his injuries.
