On Sunday, May 15, 2011, a tragic Tustin accident took place involving a little girl. Authorities stated that the Orange County car crash occurred at Edinger Avenue and Kensington Park Drive around 4:40 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Tustin Police Department, one car broadsided another car, injuring everyone in both vehicles.
The car that was broadsided was carrying a woman, man, and child, who were injured in the crash. The child, 3-year-old Milena Avila, was critically injured and transported to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana. Police stated that she was riding in her car seat at the time of the accident.
Sadly, Avila died approximately three hours after the crash.
The man and woman who were riding in the same car as the little girl were also taken to area hospitals, but their conditions are not clear at this time.
The man who broadsided their car was also injured and taken to an area hospital. There are no further reports on his condition.
Tustin Police are still investigating this accident. The names of the other individuals involved in this fatal crash have not been revealed.
