On Monday, August 8, 2011, multiple people were killed in an Orange County crash. According to authorities, the accident was a triple-fatal crash caused by a driver losing control of her SUV while exiting the I-5 freeway in the city of Buena Park.

The crash occurred around 10: 15 p.m. at the I-5 Beach Boulevard northbound exit. According to officials, the driver crashed while attempting to exit the freeway. The vehicle collided into the guardrail, rolling over it and onto the on-ramp lanes, then landed in a dirt construction area.

Sadly, the vehicle caught on fire during this crash. When police arrived on scene, they pulled out five females from the SUV. Crews from the Orange County Fire Authority and the Fullerton Fire Department arrived after the police and extinguished the flames.

Three victims were pronounced dead at the accident scene, but according to authorities, the three females died from injuries sustained in the accident and not the fire. Two other female victims were critically injured and taken to UCI Medical Center for medical treatment.

There is no word on the identities of the five females involved in this Orange County wreck.

The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the cause of this accident.

The Law Office of John P. Burns would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, and we wish the other two victims a full recovery.
