On Wednesday, July 27, 2011, a serious Laguna Beach car crash occurred at the intersection of Glenneyre Street and Mountain Road. The Laguna Beach Fire Department arrived on scene around 8:22 am to find one vehicle on its side with a driver trapped inside.
Firefighters had to stabilize an overturned SUV and remove the driver through the roof. After the driver was extricated from the car, the injured victim was taken to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo for medical treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
Witnesses of this Orange County car crash indicated that the driver of a BMW allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign and collided head-on with the SUV.
Although reports indicate that two people were injured in this crash, the driver of the BMW refused further medical treatment and was released.
Division Chief Dan Stefano informed the Coastline Pilot that the rollover driver’s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
Police are still investigating this crash.
The Law Office of John P. Burns would like to wish all who were injured in this crash a full and complete recovery.
